Tofu is a plant-based food packed with protein, essential amino acids, iron, calcium, mineral, magnesium, copper, Zinc, and vitamin B1. It is a great meat substitute for the vegetarians' as well as vegans. We also can replace Panner(Indian Cottage Cheese) with Tofu if we can make it right. Trust me, most of the times when I take the Tofu dishes for my potlucks, people will think that I made Panner dish. The method I follow to make Tofu bites can be used in multiple dishes like Soups, Tofu Butter Masala, Tofu-Stir Fry Vegetables, and even Tofu veg biryani.

Cut the Tofu into cubes and place them in a strainer. For a better result, keep it overnight in the refrigerator or else minimum of an hour to drain the water from Tofu. (In this blog post, I used 4 blocks of Organic Tofu available in costco)

Here I'm going to give you the 2 methods of marination. All the given measurements are for 4 blocks of Tofu Method 1: 4 tbsp - Soya Sauce 1 tbsp - Hot Sauce(optional) 1 tbsp - Black Pepper Lemon/Lime - 1 medium (or 1 tbsp vinegar) Oil - 2 tbsp (any type of oil) Salt - to taste Method 2: (Goes good with Indian dishes) 1 tbsp - Ginger Powder ( I noticed using the fresh ginger/garlic is giving the strong flavor) 1 tbsp - Garlic Powder 2 tbsp - Red Chilli/Peprica Powder (or according to your spice level) 1/2 tbsp - Tumeric 1 tbsp - Black Pepper Lemon/Lime - 1 medium (or 1 tbsp vinegar) Oil - 2 tbsp (any type of oil) Salt - to taste
