Today is no different than any other day. The day started with drinking two glass of lukewarm water and walking in my backyard to check the vegetable garden. While sprinkling water on the cilantro bed, I noticed a change in the size of the squash, and few of the other flowers started maturing. On my quick health check on tomato plants, I observed a little bit of pruning required before I get on to beautifully bloomed assorted rose/flowers in the front yard

An enticing aroma of the coffee made me get back to the house with a small bunch of flowers on the hand. Sat on my favorite spot with a coffee cup on my hand and started enjoying 'Me" time by sipping the first, probably the only cup of coffee for the day while arranging the flowers using a metal water bottle lying in the cabinet. Slowly,the quietness of the house fading away and started hearing some noises. Any wife/mom can easily recognize what these noises are. Yes, the beasts are waking up. Of course, not teens tho, they need a special wake-up reminder hopefully only one :) Though it may not be so strenuous, I knew that my monotonic daily routine is about to start. By the time breakfast is over, parallelly, the meal prep is done for the day.

Let's roll the day in a fast forward motion, my day is almost getting over after working on some of the client assignments and penning down personal blog posts, going out for a neighborhood walk, and of course, lunch and dinner.

Isn't it amazing? What a well defined smooth sailing day without any hurdles. Right? Absolutely NOT. I do have highs and lows, and I do have middle-age crisis, and I do keep dishes hard on the nook to grab the attention, and sometimes I do feel monotony in life. But what "partially" helping me to overcome all these is, little things I do in my day to day life

Here is the justification for my statement - let's go back to the beginning. My day started with a bit of outdoor gardening under the morning sun that helps to improve the vitamin D levels in my body and also that plays a vital role in mental health while admiring the progress of the plants' growth. The flower arrangement I made using garden flowers brings a smile on my face whenever I see them throughout the day. The unconditional love and support I get from my family and watching them enjoy eating the food I made give me excitement, encouragement, and happiness. The 2-mile walk during the weekday at the neighborhood walkway, and occasional hiking during the weekends help me to keep my body active. All these simple things trigger the brain to releases good hormones like 'Dopamine'- the feel-good chemical for my limited to the moderate daily workout and 'Endorphins' and 'Oxytocins, hormones which are known for reducing stress and anxiety, promote feelings of love, bonding, well-being for my happy moments during the day

How you too can increase your Endorphin and Oxytocin levels by doing some simple things in your life. Like, wearing a bit of favorite cologne on your indoor clothes as well though you are working from home due to global pandemic, keeping a favorite picture in a place where you most often see, playing a favorite song in the background in a slow to moderate volume etc. All these effortless acts will indirectly promote your mental strength to handle day to day activities less stressful.
